Global Design Project 105 | Colour Challenge

Monday 18 September 2017

I am so excited to be the Guest Designer on the Global Design Project for this week's Colour Challenge. It was such an honour to have my card picked. These are this week's colours:
I was so pleased when I saw these colours as so they're lovely!!! And here's my card using this week's gorgeous colours - Peekaboo Peach, Tangerine Tango and Lemon Lime Twist.
The moment I saw the colours I thought of the Lemon Zest stamp set - it's my new favourite! The Lemon Lime Twist DSP on the base of my card is from the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack - it looks so fresh and clean. I stamped the image with Peekaboo Peach first then rolled the edges on the Tangerine Tango stamp pad. The leaves have been stamped with Lemon Lime Twist. The banner is made using the Banner Triple Punch and then embossed with the Polka Dot Basics folder.
A piece of Basic Black twine twisted with Whisper White co-ordinates with the Happy Birthday and the rhinestones.
Then I added some of the elements from the outside of the card to the insert to complete my card.
Please make sure you head over to the Global Design Project to check out all the fabulous projects by the Design Team.
And thanks so much for stopping by, I hoped you enjoyed my card.

CASEing the Catty #146 Season of Glitz

Sunday 17 September 2017

Welcome to this week's CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. Today my card is from the Season of Glitz section (pages 20-27) of the new Holiday Catalogue.
You may be starting here or hopping over from Julia Quinn, isn't her card gorgeous?
My card is CASED from the little one in the middle! I thought it would make a perfect 3" x 3" card to fit in the new Mini Pizza Boxes. I also wanted to make customer thank you cards so half my work was done I just needed to come up with a design.

The Powder Pink spotted paper on the card base is from the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper and I've co-ordinated it with Flirty Flamingo and Pear Pizzazz. The Flirty Flamingo and Whisper White Baker's twine ties a perfect bow every time! The "thanks" stamp is from the Weather Together stamp set - I love the font! And the square is from the Stitched Shaped Framelits.
Next on the blog hop is the very talented Rachel Palmieri.

Global Design Project 104 | CASE the Designer

Friday 15 September 2017

Welcome to my blog! Today I'm sharing the card I made for this week's Global Design Project #104 CASE the Designer - Allison Okamitsu. I'm lucky enough to be on the All Star Tutorial Bundle Team with Allison and she is amazing!
In CASEing Allison's card I decided to follow her layout. I love the repeat stamping in the background - it makes a perfect backdrop!
The Lemon Zest stamp set has some quirky sayings in gorgeous fonts and as I love lemons I had to get this set! (I could probably justify every stamp set in the catalogue!)
It's my husband's birthday next month and this is the perfect card for him!

And a little bit of the outside on the inside!

Have a great weekend - yes it's Friday already here in the South Pacific!

CASEing the Catty #145 Merry Little Christmas

Sunday 10 September 2017

Welcome to this week's CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. This week we are CASEing the Merry Little Christmas Suite (pg 10-19) of the Holiday Catalogue.
You may be starting here or hopping over from our Guest Designer this week Siobhan Fitzsimmons, it’s lovely to have you hopping with us!
I've chosen to CASE the card at the bottom of this page. I love this new Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper - to me it's a bit non-traditional with the black but I think it's striking and makes such a bold statement.

I loved this Season to Sparkle stamp set the moment I saw it. There are so many possibilities with all the cute little images and sentiments that go with this chandelier I can't wait to play with it some more!

How cute is that little Old Olive enamel star? It co-ordinates perfectly with the Merry Little Christmas DSP. Stampin' Up!® certainly make creating cards easy!

I love adding the co-ordinating products from the front of my card to the inside - it finishes it off nicely! And I always do it while I have all my supplies out, saves time later on!
Hopefully you're inspired to make some Christmas cards!
Next on the blog hop is the lovely and talented Rebecca Scurr.
And as always we'd love you to join in the fun, just click on the link below:

Global Design Project 103 | Theme Challenge

Friday 8 September 2017

Welcome to my blog! Today I'm sharing the card I made for this week's Global Design Project #103 Theme Challenge : For Him!

It's my husband's birthday next month so I'm pleased to have made this card for him and now feel very organised for once! He loves coffee so this Coffee Break DSP is perfect.

I fussy cut the takeaway coffee cup, plunger and cup from the Designer Series Paper. I love papers like this - and as you know I'm a happy little fussy cutter.
Make sure you head on over to the Global Design Project blog to check out all the male cards this week - lots of fabulous ideas from the team and all the entries.
I hope you have a lovely weekend. My sister and niece are here from Melbourne so we've got a weekend packed full of catching up with friends and family!

CASEing the Catty #144 Quilted Christmas

Sunday 3 September 2017

Welcome to this week's CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. Today my card is from the Quilled Christmas section (pages 4-9) of the new Holiday Catalogue.

This week I've chosen to CASE the card on the left hand side with the little cotton reels on it.

The wreath and sentiment are from the "Feeling of Christmas" stamp set (pg 16 of the Holiday Catalogue). The sentiment was in a block but I wanted it to go across so I did a bit of blocking out to get it in a row.

The Be Merry Designer Series Paper is from the Annual Catalogue. I coloured the wreath in using the co-ordinating colours of Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green. And I love how the doily pokes out just a little bit at each end of the wreath!

Enjoy the blog hop - there are lots of fabulous projects to inspire and admire!

Next on the blog hop is the very talented Krissy.

And as always we'd love you to play along, you can join the challenge here:

Have a fabulous week and I look forward to seeing you again soon.

ESAD 2017 Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop

Sunday 3 September 2017

Welcome to the ESAD (Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators) blog hop. This is my first hop with this fabulous group of demonstrators and we are featuring Stampin' Up! products from the new 2017 Holiday Catalogue. Make sure you visit everyone - there're lots of great projects and you won't want to miss any!

I've used the lovely "Feeling of Christmas" stamp set with Designer Series Paper from the Merry Music Specialty and the Merry Little Christmas packs.

I've coloured the berries in with Cherry Cobbler and added a touch of Fine-Tip Glue to each one to give it some dimension and shine. There are little Christmas ornaments on the wreath and I've stuck a Crushed Curry Enamel Shape on each one. A bow in Silver co-ordinates with the Silver Glimmer Paper at each side of the DSP.

Now hop on over to Rachael Lewsley, her creations are super cute.

Season to Sparkle Card: Tutorial Bundle Design Team Blog Hop

Saturday 2 September 2017

Welcome to our Tutorial Bundle Design Team Blog Hop for September. I am thrilled to be part of this fabulous group of 12 demonstrators from around the world who have created an amazing bundle of tutorials using products from the 2017 Holiday Catalogue.
Each month I will be hopping with these talented Stampin' Up!® designers and we will be showcasing a project using the same bundle as in our tutorial. The tutorials are based on current products available in the Stampin' Up! catalogues and have both metric and imperial measurements so wherever you are in the world you can purchase and create these exclusive projects.
Each Tutorial Bundle is $20NZ or place an order over $50NZ this month with me to receive this month's tutorial for free.

In my card today I've used the same Season to Sparkle Bundle that I used in the tutorial. Please remember that it isn't the same project. The projects in the Tutorial Bundle are exclusive and not shown anywhere else.
My card uses the Season to Sparkle stamp set and co-ordinating Chandelier Thinlits Dies. I loved this set from the moment I laid eyes on it - it's so cute and can be used for quite a few different occasions. The Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper is also from the Holiday Catalogue - there are 24 sheets printed with traditional Christmas carols! How cute is that?
The Powder Pink Shimmer Ribbon co-ordinates with the Powder Pink cardstock base that has been embossed with the Sparkle folder - you can just see it peeking out from under the music paper.

The dangling jewels are also stamped in Powder Pink and have been cut out using the Chandelier Thinlits Dies. And as it is a chandelier, and chandeliers are all about the sparkle, I added Rhinestone Jewels everywhere!
The inside also got a little DSP and the little sentiment "'tis the season to sparkle" with an added Rhinestone Jewel.
Here is a sneak peek of what is included in this month's tutorial bundle:

Next on the hop is the lovely and talented Constanze Wirtz.

Global Design Project 102 | Sketch Challenge & All Star Tutorial Bundle

Friday 1 September 2017

I'm so excited to share that my card was picked as the winner of last week's s Global Design Project #101 Colour Challenge, which means I'll be the Guest Designer for the next colour challenge. I can hardly wait! Here's my winning card:
And now for this week's Sketch Challenge:
I love sketch challenges!

Ever wondered how people come up with their card colours etc? I based this card's colours on a friend's outfit! She was wearing navy with a gorgeous pink blouse and I loved how it looked so I grabbed all my navy and pink products and set about trying to achieve that look!

I used Pink Pirouette for the base, Night of Navy washi tape from the Basics Pack 3, Night of Navy and Flirty Flamingo inks for the stamping and the Flirty Flamingo Baker's Twine. We won't mention the retired Flirty Flamingo enamel shapes though! The stamp set I used is "Little One".
And of course the inside received a little love too!
The September Tutorial Bundle is here now! This is FREE with a $50 order through me in September or you can purchase the tutorial bundle click here:
This is a collection of 12 amazing tutorials by the All Star Team from around the world! Lots of inspiration and step by step instructions on how to create each project.
We will be blog hopping on Sunday (4am NZ time!) with projects from the same bundles we have used in the tutorial bundle - but not the same projects! It'll be lots of fun - see you then!
